Join the Movement: Southern California Covenant House Sleep Out 2023 to Support Homeless Youth

Why ☺️ will I be sleeping on the streets of Hollywood in the rain ️ for the 10th time next Thursday night 11/16? By raising money for Covenant House California this is how we help get youth off the streets to become productive members of society.

1. Shelter and Supportive Services: CHC offers immediate shelter, with beds and basic necessities for young people in need. This extends to supportive services like meals, clothing, and personal care items.

2. Comprehensive Care: Beyond basic needs, CHC provides comprehensive care programs. These include mental health services, medical care, substance abuse counseling, and legal aid, acknowledging that youth in these situations often face multifaceted challenges.

3. Education and Employment Programs: Understanding the importance of self-sufficiency, CHC offers education and employment programs. This includes GED preparation, college support, job training, and placement services, equipping young people with skills and opportunities for independent living.

4. Continuum of Care: Their approach is not just about immediate relief but focuses on long-term solutions. This includes transitional housing, life skills training, and ongoing support to ensure sustainable progress towards independence and self-sufficiency.

5. Advocacy and Public Awareness: CHC also engages in advocacy to raise public awareness about youth homelessness and human trafficking. They aim to influence policies and foster a community committed to solving these issues.
