Breaking Into Luxury Real Estate: Journey and Tips for Success | Coldwell Banker Beverly Hills

Good morning, Resas Universe! 🌟 My name is Christophe Choo, and I'm a luxury real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Beverly Hills. Today, I'm excited to join Joe Schneider, Head of Industry Development at Resas, to discuss the world of luxury real estate, how to break into this exclusive niche, and share insights from my journey in the industry.

For agents looking to level up, transitioning to the luxury market involves understanding your client and market deeply. I started in Hancock Park at 18 and moved closer to Beverly Hills over time. Building my business included prospecting expired listings and for-sale-by-owners, and gradually moving up the price range. Networking and being part of the community are crucial—whether it's attending events, joining boards, or just being present in high-end settings.

Marketing luxury properties involves many tools, but video marketing has been key for me. Starting in 2006, I've used videos to market properties, create driving tours of neighborhoods, and connect with international buyers. Authenticity and consistent learning are vital—whether through coaching, attending conferences, or staying updated with market trends.

To all the new agents out there, believe in yourself, stay persistent, and keep moving forward. The luxury market can be challenging, but with the right mindset and strategies, you can succeed."
