Scarlett Johansson is among the celebrities that are plagued by the real estate crisis. She recently listed her LA home with an asking price of $4,995,000. The famous actress purchased the 1931 Spanish style casa in the Outpost Estates neighborhood in May of 2007 for $7,000,000.
The 4,352 Spanish style casa includes 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. It has a motor court, 4-car garage, soaring glass ceilings and newly remodeled kitchen. The terrace at the back of the house has canyon and city views, dark bottomed pool and spa, several gardens and winding gravel and rock lined pathways.
The actress is not new to selling her property at a lower price. In April 2008, she sold her 66 Leonard Street Loft for $52,000 less than the $1,950,000 she paid when she purchased the place in January 2006.
It is not clear where the actress is currently staying but she also forked over $2,100,000 for a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom penthouse apartment on East 53rd Street in New York City in April 2008.
